(unless of course you're poor and don't have cable)
or
you're from Maine...cuz I don't know the show and I don't watch TV. I
prefer my television to continue it's productive use as dust magnet
and fireplace ornament. But, thank you for the suggestion.

Felices Fiestas!

Or you CHOOSE not to have cable!

I know, I am one of the few peopl ein the world that just plain don't enjoy
that movie.

Owner of one, largish, noncabled, nonsatellited, nonantenna'd dust
magnet.....

GASP!!!!!!!! Say it isn't so! I can't imagine a Christmas now
without watching Ralphies Dad get his 'major award' at least 2 or 3
times. (I've even got the DVD in case the cable goes out!) Sadly,
CardinalMom doesn't share my enthusiasm but at least she indulges
me. Merry Christmas to all!!! Don't lick any frozen flagpoles!

Thank you, thank you, thank you! I was getting a bit worried there
thinking that I am the only person on this list who can't get enough
of this amazing film! Have you read any of Jean Shepherd's books?
If not they are well worth the time.

"A major prize, a major prize....would you look at that, a Western
Union telegram"

Every time he puts on that pink suit I laugh so hard I cry.

and my personal favorite from the wierd kid in line at Higby's

"I like the Wizard of Oz. I like the tin man."
